Most Wednesday mornings we have preschool storytime (psst) at the library. I am going to try and keep a step by step blog of these crafts so you can make them at home if you want. Keep in mind most of the crafts I post are geared for ages three to five. Have a blast crafting!

Elephant n piggie
Read your favorite Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems then have the kids make Elephant and Pigge mask or puppets. Here we have a string on them so you can just wear them around your neck while acting out the stories. Tiffany and Katie had so much fun dancing like Elephant and Piggie wearing these.
If you read, and you should, Should I Share My Ice Cream? You should most definitely have an ice cream snack afterwards!

I love these! I'm having an Elephant & Piggie party at my library next month and was looking for mask patterns to print and cut. Do you happen to have the pattern to this that you'd be willing to share?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your interest! I think a co-worker of mine just drew, painted, and laminated these. We can try to shrink them and make a template for you but I wont be back at work until late next week. I will leave her a message to try and do it and let me know.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, there are quite a lot of programs I need to post on here when I get the time.

Oh, thank you! That would be perfect for my program! Looking forward to seeing what else you add to your blog!

We havnt been able to try and do this yet as we have a couple of big programs, as well as our daily ones, coming up and we've been having to focus our time on them. Mo's characters are pretty easy to draw or you may try printing a picture off line or something. Sorry I haven't been more help.
DeleteThanks again.
